•  Tomorrow will be our final prayer service this Lent.  We will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.  We will follow our dress code with option of Crazy Socks for $2 or more to benefit Down Syndrome. Aubree Acuncius' sister, Evelyn, and her friend Lily will be with us.

•  Tomorrow bring Lenten donations and Rice Bowls to the prayer service.

•  Our Lenten Goal is $4,110. We are now at $3,585 which is 87% of our goal. Seniors 87%; Juniors 104%; Sophomores 62%; Freshmen 77%.

•  Congrats to the Baseball teams for sweeping Mendota last night.  Varsity won 3-1 and JV 16-4!

•  Congrats to the St. Bede Boys and Girls Track teams last night competing in a multi-team meet @ Annawan/Weathersfield. Boys finished 4th and Lady Bruins finished 3rd!  

  Leading the Boys was Logan Pineda winning the 800 meters, Greyson Marincic winning the 400m, Tom Makransky Winning the PV, also Isaiah Hart 2nd in the HJ and the 4x400 relay team of Logan, Greyson, Brody Hahn, and Hayden Arkins finished 2nd.  

  For the Girls, Anna Lopez won 3 events, the Long Jump and Triple Jumps, and the 100m. Also placing 1st was Macy Zeglis in the 100high hurdles. Scoring high was Macy 2nd in the 300 Intermediate hurdles, Jeanna Ladzinski 2nd in the 100 H. H. and Maggie Arkins, 3rd in the 400m. Outstanding efforts everyone!

  Leading the lady bruins was Lily Bosnich's 1st place finish in the 200 meters and along with Sierah Shaver, Macy Zeglis and Emerald De La Torre finished 3rd in the 4x200. Macy Zeglis was 4th in the 60m High Hurdles and Maggie Arkins was 4th in the 400 meters. GREAT JOB LADIES"

• Congrats to the varsity boy’s baseball team on their season opening victory 14-4 over Riverdale.

• Seniors: Applications for the BUREAU COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION are due on Friday. This is a $500 scholarship that will be awarded to one St. Bede student. As of yesterday, they have no applications. You do not need to be a democrat and you can apply even if you have not volunteered for a political campaign. The completed application must be submitted by email by Friday this week. If only one person applies that person will receive the $500 award.

• Juniors and seniors are invited to attend a career & job fair in Princeton on April 21st. There will be employers looking to higher recent high school graduates. Information will be provided on careers that require all levels of education. Students will have the opportunity to talk to architects, medical professionals, skilled laborers, educators, bankers and more!  See your email for a list of employers that will be there. Please sign up in Ms. Bernabei or Ms. Pettway’s office asap.

•  Congrats to the boys and girls track teams yesterday competing at the BV Thursday Thriller invite. For the Lady bruins Lily Bosnich won the 60 and was 2nd in the 200-meter dashes. Anna Lopez was 1st in the Long Jump and 2nd in the triple Jump. Jeanna Ladzinski was 4th in the high hurdles and Maggie Arkins was 5th in the 400. For the Guys Logan Pineda and Hayden Arkins were 2nd and 3rd in the 800, Brody Hahn was 5th in the Long Jump and making his track and field debut Isaiah Hart was 5th in the High Jump. Boys will compete again today bus leaves at 2:15.

•  Musical production members and stage rats.  Please stop standing one/using the stage padding to access the stage.  The pads and support structure are designed for protecting, NOT foot traffic.  There are stairs on BOTH sides of the stage for access, so there is no need to go up and down via the padding.
